As
some
of
you
may
have
already
heard,.......
Stained Glass Accessories is moving,....yes, again. Seems the lease they thought they had was only in force as long as it suited the leasing company. Now, a large chain store wants space in the shopping center and the leasing company is forcing smaller businesses out to make room for all the square footage the chain store wants. Sigh,....
So, Stained Glass Accessories has to be out of the Mt. View location by Jan. 15 and will probably be out a little sooner than that. Sam and Butch are in the midst of boxes and paper, trying to get everything packed away. Sam will be working from the house and will be glad to place an order for you or put it on a list to take care of as soon as they get into the new location. So, please feel free to continue to contact her for your stained glass and mosaic needs during this transition period.
The new (and better) store location is 1701A Fatherland St. in East Nashville. You will be forwarded to the new phone number when we get it so continue to call the old number: 717-1004. The new store space will not be available until March 1st and should be up and running at that time,....it may still be full of boxes, but, the store will be open. Everyone is looking forward to a whole new atmosphere filled with great energy.
I can't wait to see everyone in the new store and get back to some exciting and therapeutic mosaic classes!

Artsy-Girl News - Stepping Stone Classes!
I just finished a private stepping stone class/party for a great group called "Friends and Flowers". I initially balked when Friends and Flowers contacted me. Although, I had made lots of stepping stones before, I'd never done a class/workshop on them. The cost of the molds and the logistics of using concrete inside the store, seemed pretty hard to conquer. After some thought, I decided it could be done. I wrote out some instructions, made some patterns, picked up the molds and supplies and,....Friends and Flowers became my unwitting guinea pigs. We all had a really wonderful time and their stepping stones turned out great! I was very impressed with their work. You wouldn't believe they were all 1st timers! They even got me a gift and with a lovely "Thank You" note! What Sweeties!
Below are a few photos from their class and of their beautiful stepping stones.
I learned a lot,...I will change the way I did a few things and make them easier for myself and the participants. But, I now feel ready to offer a day or evening stepping stone class. The class would run the 3-4 hours needed to construct the stone, then 1 hour the next day for removing the stone from the mold and clean up.

Mosaic Art Classes at Stained Glass Accessories
Classes are on Mondays, 6:00 - 8:00 pm and new
class sessions start every six (6) weeks.
Beginning Mosaics, Direct Method classes, as well as Intermediate Mosaic Classes, Indirect Method, are available. Students will complete two (2) art projects in each of the 5 ( five) week sessions.
